Experience
Software Engineer
Vela (formerly Reewild)
- Owned the development-to-deployment pipeline, implementing CI/CD and OTA updates with Maestro, EAS Workflows, and GitHub Actions — cutting internal testing cycles by 20% and shipping app updates without a Store submission for every iteration.
- Migrated the app off the Ignite boilerplate to Expo Router, replacing a centralized navigator config with file-based routing bringing typed routes, automatic deep linking, and lazy bundling, and making navigation changes local to the files they affect instead of a single sprawling navigator.
- Made the codebase agent-ready by authoring AGENTS.md and SKILLS.md encoding our coding conventions and Expo-specific patterns so AI coding agents produce work that matches house style, cutting review churn and token usage.
- Built and shipped production AI agents with Hermes on Azure Container Apps, running real sales, marketing, product, and fundraising workflows — the app engagement and downloads rose ~4x (measured in Mixpanel).
- Cut download size by 60% on iOS and 44% on Android — measured against actual App Store and Play Store download sizes before and after noticeably reducing install friction.
- Implemented client-side feature flagging with Statsig, letting the team gate UI on time-boxed campaigns (e.g. World Cup-specific elements) and ship them without a new release.
Software Engineer Intern
Vela (formerly Reewild)
- Built the React Native frontend for the 'Planet Points' product launch — translated designs into a polished, production-ready mobile interface that shipped to pilot users.
- Shipped the 'Receipt Scanning' feature end-to-end in a 2-week sprint, integrating camera-based OCR with backend reward APIs to take users from capture to reward in a single flow.
- Audited legacy dependencies and unoptimized assets across the app, cutting bundle size by 100 MB — measurably faster builds and a lighter install for users on constrained devices and networks.
